Shooting Stars Group activities are open to all individuals and our programs are designed with inclusion of participants with physical or mental disabilities in mind.

We are committed to treating all individuals equally and fairly, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic. We promote an inclusive environment where everyone is respected and valued.

Parent Note on Participant Behavior

Our goal is to create a positive experience for all of our special needs participants.  At this time, our staff is not equipped to manage kids with aggressive or eloping behaviors.  We ask parents to utilize your ABA to accompany your child at our events/activities or for you to supply someone to work with your child (including yourself) if your child requires 1:1 assistance/supervision.

Shooting Stars Special Needs Group reserves the right to refuse entry to individuals who have shown or have a history of detrimental behaviors (elopement, disruptive or aggressive behaviors, self-injurious behaviors, behaviors that are likely to injure others) at any of our events.

If a person intentionally causes injury to self or others or property or exhibits behaviors which are likely to injure self or others or property, this person will need to be immediately removed from the premises.

Any questions, or if you would like to discuss, please reach out to us at 760 504-7242 or coachrick@shootingstarsgroup.org

Our participants/families have the option to choose “direct pay” and pay “out-of-pocket” for any of our events, but most of our participants are Regional Center clients and may be able to get assistance paying through the San Diego Regional Center (or your Regional Center).   We will invoice Regional Center or Financial Management Services (FMS) once you get the approved information (see below).  (note…if the Regional Center/FMS does not approve payment, participant’s parent/guardian/conservator would be responsible for payment.)
